Baseball arbitrator, Mr. Shyman Das recently overturned Milwaukee Brewers' Ryan Braun's suspension. In an interview following his exoneration, Braun vehemently defending the case's outcome. His camp raises questions about the chain of custody with the urine specimens that revealed testosterone levels three times higher than testers had ever seen. Apparently the samples were in the collector, Dino Laurenzi's care for over 40 hours before being delivered to FeDex. Seems like somebody is fibbing, or maybe a lab snafu, or maybe his testosterone level was spiked by something he ingested innocently. Your Thoughts...
Late great Whitney Houston has been a world music icon for decades, playing an essential role in the musical upbringing of many millions. We've not only sung along with Nippy's music, our mental musical library has her melodies splattered all over it. Most people agree, she's the finest female vocal talent they've ever heard. Like an army of marauding ninja vampires, slithering around the underbelly of life, waiting to slip through the smallest crevice and seize the first opportunity to reappear and muck things up. Even while their thirst is dormant, they proceed to sink their fangs into the necks of the rational, sucking the sweet blood of logic from the veins of life. Before you can mount a defense, or even reach for an intellectual band-aid —-Boom! It's in your face and all over your favorite pair of shoes.
“Even banks are refusing to loan other banks...We need bottom-up economic reform” -Robert Reich
Wise words indeed. The test period has run its course on trickle-down economics and the result is rolling in right before our eyes. The cancer in our economy is no longer just the rebellious teenage version of “Reaganomics” We let it fester. Now we have a full grown bearded tumor eating at our gut.
The Occupy Wall Street movement, while still too fragmened to lay down a solid economic and/or political platform, fights a good fight in theory. What has been going on on Wall Street with giant investment firms and insurance companies has simply been fraud! Even after greasing their blue-blood palms with hard earned red blood money for decades, they continue to gouge the pie and cry hungry. Instead of going to jail for deceptive business practices, performed in new, innovative, unprecedented ways, they are getting bankrolled by the very people they have taken advantage of. The American people at large are clearly the pawns in this debacle, and it often seems their government is not on there side. Enough with politicians trying to score points by saying they’re going to "fix Washington” “Washington is broken.” (follow the entire "Crisis of Confidence" series @ mindOFdemus.com)
